Over the past several weeks, I have heard talk that ASGRA is defunct or is closing its doors. Let me tell you the truth.

ASGRA is still alive. While it's true we are not having a rodeo in 2009, we are far from closing.

Along with San Francisco, North Star, New Mexico, Los Angeles and St. Louis, the board of directors made the most responsible, although difficult decision to not hold Atlantic Stampede 2009. With the rising cost and declining attendance, it would have been fiscally irresponsible for us to hold a rodeo next year. During the coming year, we will be holding a variety of fun events throughout ASGRA country, including several fundraisers. We welcome your suggestions for possible activities of interest to our membership as well as your support in making them happen.

We hope we can count on your continued support during the coming year, as we ramp up for Atlantic Stampede 2010.
