![]() The Manhattan Prairie DogsThey have been spotted scurrying fancifully down Fifth Avenue in their rhinestone studded skirts, cowboy boots and Jackie-O sunglasses. Are the stars of the new DVD "The Year of the Dog" trying to 'blend in?' Maybe it's just an attempt to remain incognito after their debut at New York City's Lincoln Center. All that fairy glitter and exposed leg prompted one audience member to say into his cell phone, "I'll call you back, it's kind of Brokeback Mountain here!"These days those Dogs spend their time hiding from the paparazzi, outrunning the "high end" department store security guards, and performing as the Official Performance Team of the Big Apple Ranch. The MANHATTAN PRAIRIE DOGS are thrilled, to once again, 'Shop Around' at the Atlantic Stampede. |
Tamara Marks
Tamara Marks has been involved in gay rodeo since 1996. When asked "Why gay rodeo?" her responce is, "Because it's a place where it doesn't matter whether you're gay, straight, bisexual, or transgener, we all work and play together without predudices. It's like a family reunion at every rodeo!"
Before rodeo, Tamara worked in the gay community raising money for charity. She received numerous awards for her vocal talents including Female Entertainer of the Year and top female Live Vocalist presented by the Performer's Award of Detroit. Versatile Tamara is still true to to her first love as a singer, performing at countless Rodeos and fund-raising functions throughout the country. Last year, Tamara traveled to Nashville to realize her dream of recording a CD. Find more on her DC at TamaraMarks.com.
